Daily randomness…

So what’s going on this week? Nothing much really. It’s been a slow week, even though I worked a bit more hours compared to the week before. Speaking of work, today I went to get my paycheck and there was this blonde by the register area. We have a fixture full of women’s tank-tops nearby and she decided to take off her top and try some on. Now…usually when girls try a top on without going to the fitting room, they put it over their shirt or top. Nope. This blonde with a killer body decides to take off her shirt and is wearing a nice black lace bra. She stood there for a while looking through the tank tops, just wearing her bra. Just another day at work.

I’m seeing on the dashboard that the U.N Small Arms Treaty has failed. From what the news reports have said, the U.S, Russia and China all wanted “more time” to consider the impact of the treaty. It isn’t surprising when 3 of the world’s superpowers, responsible for massive global arms trade are apprehensive of any U.N measure to damage a multi-billion dollar industry. Even though the treaty is more or less dead for now, it may come back. For now we can all celebrate.

Speaking of firearms…my 2 guns from Rock Island Auctions finally arrived. My plan to sell the Egyptian AK is still my main goal so I can recoup some money back to my DShK funds. The other rifle is a Romanian PSL. I wanted to get another one after selling my first a couple years ago. Overall I’m happy with both of rifles and I hope I don’t get too attached to the AK. It’s really nice for what it is. I do have some plans with the PSL in terms of modifications but it’ll be a while before I get to them.

Onto tumblr news…most of you have already seen the Armed Citizen posts. My goal was to bring to light the many, many, many cases and instances of law-abiding citizens defending themselves, their family and even other people, complete strangers, with firearms. The news media rarely ever reports or highlights the heroic or justified actions of people using guns for good, rather we get inundated with stories of people being killed.

Having seen some of the nonsensical anti-gun posts on tumblr…from people comparing firearms to French cheese, little chocolate eggs with toys inside, and even healthcare…I figured it made sense to post news stories .

If anything positive can come from the Armed Citizen posts, reblog them to educate others who may be against firearms. You don’t want to be in a situation where you really need a firearm but can’t have one because the other side “won”.

On that note, a follower did submit a photo for the Follower’s Guns posts I did a while back. I will still post and link the image back to your tumblr but in light of the Aurora shooting, submitted images of just the firearm(s) is preferred. There are still a lot of anti-gunners swimming around in the gun-tags of tumblr, and having them find an image of a tumblr user posing with their firearms can cause for unwanted attention. 

Overall not a bad week, just kind of…boring.

Sad to see summer slowly coming to an end. Fall and winter just around the corner. For now I’ll enjoy the sunshine, bbq’s, ice cream and summer girls…
