Daewoo K1A South Korean soldier with the compact K1A carbine. The K1A was designed before the K2, which is the full size rifle, usually it’s the other way around, for example the M16 to the M4. Ironically the K1A uses a direct gas impingement system like the M16 but the K2 uses an AK piston style system. Both rifles still use and can accept most AR magazines.
