Full Moon Fiction… Silver bullets for your werewolf problems? It’s almost Halloween. Anyway contrary to all the stories, movies, comics, etc, cast silver bullets make for terrible ammo. There was an interesting ballistic test shown on the Discovery channel comparing traditional copper & lead with silver. Because both copper and lead are softer, they conform and fit against the barrel’s rifled grooves, giving it better accuracy as it exits. Silver is a harder, denser metal and can’t grip against the grooves because it resists conforming, leaving the barrel with much poorer accuracy.
