DShK A DShK, possibly Chinese, on a night shoot in Afghanistan. The muzzle brake design helps reduce recoil, even though it is still fairly violent on a tripod, but produces a gigantic muzzle flash. An earlier model of the DShK used a rotary design for ammo feeding but it proved unreliable, which resulted in switching back to the traditional feed tray.
