A-10 Thunderbolt II

Although it’s named the Thunderbolt, it’s usually called the “Warthog” due to it’s ugly looks for a plane. Designed to house the gigantic GAU-8 Avenger 30mm rotary cannon, it provides a devastating amount of firepower. The A-10 is powered by two General Electric TF34 Turbofan Engines, each producing 9,000+ lbs of thrust. The GAU-8’s recoil is so massive that the plane will actually slow down in mid-air when the gun is fired, effectively pushing it backwards just slightly.
