CETME So I saw that post that had the “CETME”, G3 and FAL. Unfortunately, the “CETME” was still a G3. A real, genuine, 100% Spanish CETME receiver will look like this. You’ll notice the lack of the drum rear sight, rather an older paddle style rear sight. You’ll also notice how the sides of the mag well are smooth, unlike a G3. Lastly, you’ll notice along the spine of the receiver there are 2 little tabs. That is where the original CETME scopes would mount, though technically they can also use the STANAG claw-type mounts like the G3. U.S made CETME’s use receivers more akin to the G3 receivers, only difference is the original rear sight is spot welded onto receiver instead of the drum sights. Century Arms did make a cast stainless steel CETME receiver with the proper rear sights but it lack the scope tabs.
