I’m not 100% if the above statement is from someone roleplaying as a crazy Russian or not.

First off, that isn’t my rifle and I’m generally a purist when it comes to “original” AK models. I detest polymer rails on classic rifles unless it comes from the factory.

That being said, apparently the crazy fellow above doesn’t realize that even now, the newest generation AK rifles have the exact things he is ranting about in capital letters…rails.

The AK is legendary for it’s reliability, ease of use and assembly and overall simplicity. What it lacks in this modern age of firearms is modular adaptability.

Looking at the AK-12, we see an adoption of rails and adjustable folding stocks. The irony I suppose is that the newest AK is learning from it’s rival, the M4 and M16.
