H&K G3 A female police officer with an H&K G3. The G3 is still fairly common in Africa. The larger 7.62x51mm round is much more preferred over smaller calibers for penetration. I remember a documentary on Nat Geo where they followed African Game Wardens who were hunting poachers. Everyone was armed with well-worn G3 rifles. Looking at the terrain of thick bush and brush, it makes sense to have a larger punch in terms of bullet size.
