Harold Johnson Winchester 71 50 Alaskan

A custom built lever action by renowned Alaskan gunsmith Harold Johnson, who invented the 50 Alaskan caliber. This is a Winchester Model 71 in which he added a 50 caliber barrel and custom made handguard. Very rare to find one of his builds for sale, I believe Mr. Johnson has since passed away since he developed the cartridge back in the 1950’s. Other gunsmiths do offer conversions but none like this. 50 Alaskan was designed to bring down bears and other large North American game.
