Ak 4 The Swedish designation for their licensed copy of the HK G3. This is an interesting photo of one in the more current configuration. The front and rear sight are removed and a rail is welded to the top of the receiver for optics. Still in use with the Swedish National Guard I believe. Currently the Swedish military fields the Ak 5C and Ak 5D, which is a modern variant of the FN-FNC. The Ak designation shares no relation to the Russian AK series of rifles.
