Walther Police Pistol (Also known as the Walther PP, it is slightly longer than the more famous Walther PPK. This particular example has a complete engraving job with gold inlay. It’s actually up on an auction site and seller claims it came from the Nuremburg trials. Note the “SA” markings on the grips. The SA were the “stormtroopers” of the Nazi party during the early years but would be replaced by the more infamous SS.)

Custom H&K P7 (This one has aftermarket grips made by Karl Nill from MacTec Enterprises. Some P7 variants are actually quite collectable and can cost up to $2,000 to $4,000.)

Custom Glock 23 (Note that the barrel has been jeweled. I personally don’t like the idea, but some gun owners claim that other than decorative appeal, the added texturing supposedly helps retain or hold onto gun oil better. I’m tempted to test this but I can’t get over how off putting this looks on a Glock or any semi-auto handgun.)

Desert Eagle 50 AE (This one has the infamous titanium gold finish, a popular choice for movies and videogames. The grips are aftermarket from the company Hogue. They make finger grooved grips for a lot of firearms; from rifles to handguns. A lot of Desert Eagle owners like the Hogue version because it provides a more comfortable and secure grip than the factory ones. Gold would probably be the last finish choice I’d choose; I prefer matte black.)

Custom Glock 22 (You either love or hate the Glock series of pistol but for what they’re worth, its one of the best semi-auto handguns out there. I did a post a while back on engraving; it can be done well or be absolute crap. I actually kind of like how this Glock looks though I’d probably keep it a safe queen.)

Gold Desert Eagle… (Not too many holsters out there are made specifically for the Desert Eagle. This odd looking example is actually a competition holster for quick access draws. It was made for large frame Glocks but modified by the owner to fit his Desert Eagle.)

Custom Smith & Wesson 1911 (Back view…I had read that this pistol cost $10,000 but I have no verification on that, just what I saw. Engraving can be costly, especially with gold inlays involved.)

Custom Smith & Wesson 1911… (Lots of engraving and gold on this one but don’t recall if this was a special presentation model for limited release or someone’s personal custom.)

Desert Eagle 50 AE w/ Gold Tiger-stripe finish (I prefer a matte black finish on the Desert Eagle because the gold, although a great conversational piece and cool to look at, tends to get dirty fast since naturally all people have oil and sweat on their hands. If you get the golden ones, be sure to take care of it.)
