Ruger Alaskan .454 Casull

A small little revolver with a gigantic punch. You may wonder why carry something that could break your wrists? Notice the name, Alaskan. This is a big bore revolver suitable as a bear gun. When you live in bear country and you do anything outdoors, you certainly do not want to have a 9mm or .45 ACP as your defensive carry gun against a charging grizzly. I think having sore wrists after firing several shots is better than being mauled to death. Bird or Buck?

A comparison of 7.5 birdshot and 00 buckshot. Obviously the 00 will cause more severe and lethal trauma due to the size of the pellets, but the 7.5 birdshot contains about 350 pellets which can be lethal as well.
