British Hawker Hurricane… 2,900th post…um yeah, note the legendary Hawker Hurricane. This plane helped to utterly destroy the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain of WWII. Haven’t done a vehicle post in a while, but that’s not what this post is about now is it.
M1A JAE A rather expensive stock option for M1A rifles, there is a cheap knock-off copy from Promag. This one is the real thing, you can tell by the area around the magazine well. This reminds me of my range trip on Thursday; my cousin’s coworker’s girlfriend was a cute blonde shooting for the first time and she loved it. She even fired the Barrett M82 CQB, which was owned by her brother in law.
Shooting position… I suppose whatever is more comfortable works. The Barrett M82A1 has a 29” long barrel, but a shorter close quarters model is available with a 20” barrel. It’s intended more for an urban environment with it’s shorter barrel for ease of movement. The loss in velocity apparently is negligible according to Barrett for the distances most urban snipers operate in.
Guns & Movies… Probably the only reason I watched Transporter 2. Lola, the blonde femme-fatale uses two full-auto Glocks with suppressors and lasers. Contrary to initial train of thought that she used Glock 18’s, imfdb states they are Glock 17’s that were modified to full-auto. Over stylized “John Woo” dual wielding and impossible ballistics (she shoots down a helicopter with 9mm…) these guns were more for eye candy and wow factor than realism.
Byron 50… Mythbuster member Kari Byron with a single shot .50 cal rifle. Supposedly was identified as an old Maadi Griffin, although several variations with different looks existed. Exact model on this one is not known.
.50 BMG girl… (An Australian soldier smiles for the camera with the Ma Deuce .50 cal heavy machine gun.)
My shotty… (Rachelle Leah with the Mossberg 500. I had to look for a different angle to make a positive I.D. I used to have a 500 but sold it to fund my SPAS-12. They’re only $300-$400 so I’ll probably buy one again in the near future.)
Another shell please… (UFC Ring Girl Rachelle Leah getting another shell for what I think is a Mossberg 500.)
Dirty MAK 90… (A Norinco MAK 90; distinguished by the thumbhole stock, the vented gas tube, lack of a flash hider and the front sight. I say dirty cause some of you guys may recognize who’s holding it…that’s Raven Riley. :P)
UFC Iraq II… (Rachelle Leah racking the slide on a well worn Beretta M9. Good trigger discipline.)
UFC Iraq… (UFC Ring Girl and host Rachelle Leah in Iraq getting some range time with the M4. Solider in the background has the M249 unloaded but you can see the drum under it.)
AR vs. AK… (AR girl needs some trigger discipline…ah well, just for fun pics since it’s Friday.)
Miss RSA III… (Since you guys keep asking for more. I don’t recognize the AR, only thing I do recognize is the Magpul CTR stock. Other than that enjoy the eye-candy.)
Miss RSA II… (Another pic of Red Star Arms eye-candy. Her name is Michelle Viscusi and she was on the show Top Shot as a guest or cameo or something, didn’t see the episode. She’s got a Hungarian AMD-65; a paratrooper/tanker style AK variant with a wire folding stock.)
Miss RSA (The eye-candy for the company Red Star Arms. She actually does shoot firearms as a hobby and is pretty good shot. I’m inclined to say that she has a Romanian under-folding AK due to the fact there are no receiver dimples by the magwell. Also, although I can’t read it clearly, the heavy electro-penciling on the receiver looks like the usual Century Arms Romanian style.)
