Out of scratch II… (Same bullpup different angle. It uses an old H&K SL8 thumbhole lower for most of the body. Muzzle brake looks like an AMD-65 in the white. I don’t recognize the handguard but has a notch cut into it so it sits flush with the SL8 parts. I’ll get a link up to his build but it looks like you have to register on the website to see the content.)

Out of scratch… (This is a home-built gun using spare parts. Total cost was under $100. The builder did heavy modifications to the spare bolt and barrel but the bullpup now runs perfectly. None of the parts are airsoft. A rough image of the thing assembled but not refinished.)

Stalingrad… (A German soldier taking cover with his captured Soviet PPSh-41. This compact submachine gun excelled in the tight urban warfare in besieged cities. Although the Germans had the MP-40, lack of supplies usually meant using captured weapons.)

Bad idea? (A Czech VZ-61 Skorpion and the VZ-58 assault rifle. I say bad idea because this photo is advertised in a Hungarian travel agency that promotes a special shooting range package. Tourists can go to the range and fire from a selection of 7 different guns, after you use up all the ammo for each gun, a complimentary beer is given to drink. 7 beers, full-auto weapons, foreign speaking range officers…fun.)

UZI Synagogue (A sculpture made out of UZI’s, bullets, casings and other parts. The artist Al Farrow, wanted to depict the violent side of religion with the tools often used to enforce or defend it. Very fitting to use the UZI for a synagogue.)

Revolution… (Not a good one either. This was taken during the Islamic Revolution in Iran. Note the UZI sub-machine guns. Iran uses a domestically produced MP5 copy but they may still have UZI’s as surplus for home guard purposes.)

GSG-5 SD Titanium (This was a limited 1st anniversary edition released by GSG. It still resembles a real MP5 quite a bit. The silencer is fake, although GSG did sell around 80 limited, actual suppressed GSG-5’s. What’s ironic about the one in the picture is that it’s deactivated and located in the United Kingdom.)

UZI what I see… (The UZI has basic iron sights but because of the charging handle position, it makes it difficult to use optics without modifying the top cover. There were factory and aftermarket scope mounts but most were too high to use comfortably with the folding stock. The most popular option though is drilling and tapping (or welding) a small piece of picatinny rail to the top cover.)

Benjamin Netanyahu (The current Prime Minister of Israel, he served in the IDF and led the elite Sayeret Matkal unit. In this photo you can see the legendary UZI sub-machine gun. In spite it’s reliability, the UZI is being phased out in favor of the more modern H&K MP7.)

SBR vs SMG (A FAL SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) next to the H&K MP5. Note that the MP5 has the older style straight magazine as opposed to the standard curved version. You can see the side folding skeleton stock just slightly behind the FAL.)
